Cooling for Pigsty

Sprinkling the Pigsty

Test on adiabatic cooling in pig sties has shown that showering during the hot season can control and improve the pigs spattering behaviour and reduce the aggressions.
Heat stress will often lead to worse hygienic in the stables, more cleaning, aggressive behaviour, reduced feed intake and fertility.
In addition the cooling system can reduce the dust in the stables considerable.
Signs of heat stress are visible at 22° C.

Problems which comes from heat stress

Benefits with HydroFlex

Pigsty hygiene and cleaning
The pig’s body temperature is normally constant. With temperatures above the thermo neutral zone the only things the animal can do to maintain the right body temperature is to spatter urine and manure, reduce the food intake and/or hyperventilate.
Adiabatic cooling/sprinkling has a tested effect on the spattering behaviour and trough that the improved pigsty hygiene. The level of filth is considerable lower in sties with cooling than those without.

Soaking function – 2 in 1
With the automatic variable pump output you are able to use your cooling system for soaking your stable before cleaning.
With the manually activated soaking nozzles it is possible to soak the stables effectively – cooling and soaking in the same system.

Dust and ammoniac
By atomising a fine mist of water particles to the air the water and the dust is connected laying the dust down. By continuously using the cooling system the dust problem will be strongly reduced.
The discharge of ammoniac fumes is continuously in the public eye. By cooling the stable the ventilation outlet can be reduced and cooling will counteract the evaporation ability of the ammoniac.
